Laser cutting is the process where various materials are cut to specific sizes and designs, defined by users files. In order create the necessary files, designers will have to use a vector based program, like Adobe Illustrator. To find out more, go to our detailed laser cutting explanation page.

WHAT CAN YOU ACHIEVE USING LASER CUTTING

Our Co2 Laser cutting machine has a tolerance of 0.001mm, meaning it can cut products on a tiny and precise scale. Our favourite materials to cut include: acrylic, wood, paper and card. Head over to our materials section to find out the full range of materials we are able to laser cut.

GUIDE LINES FOR YOUR LASER CUTTING FILE

  • Be in a vector format: we recommend Adobe Illustrator but we can work with other formats on request.
  • All cut lines Red on the RGB swatch stroke set to 0.001 hairline
  • RGB RED = R255, G000, B000
  • All cut lines should be set to a stroke width of 0.001mm
  • All cut lines should be connected units set to mm
  • 5mm from the edge of the sheet
  • 5mm gap between parts
  • Zoom set to 100%
  • 720 x 420  maximum sheet size
